The prize money isn't exactly a "prize"?

I read "seed capital". Does that mean that's an investment in exchange for percentage of a company/idea? Also, will the deadline be extended due to low participation or you're closing this as scheduled?

    The creators of the projects decide their use for materials, for equipment or for any project activity. Nothing is asked in return.
    The teams are working on putting together the documentation to upload on Devpost. The deadline is today at 18:00 (UTC-5).
